Here are the lyrics to "Rip Van Winkle" (below).
How do I know? Because I was in the band!
Rip Van Winkle
Intro: Sound of rolling ball and falling pins
"Wow-wee a strike!"
Bom-bom, bom bom-a-bom-bom
Bom-bom, bom Bom-a-bom-bom
Rip Van Winkle, Rip Van Winkle
Sleep, sleep, sleep
haa, haa, haa, haa, haa
Rip Van Winkle, Rip Van Winkle
Sleep, sleep, sleep
He fell asleep in the woods one day
Spent twenty years of his life that way
Rip Van Winkle, Rip Van Winkle, sleep, sleep sleep
That nagging wife kept all of his coin
None of his friends did he ever join
Rip Van Winkle, Rip Van Winkle, Sleep, sleep, sleep
Those little elves bowled on the green
Rip would dream, dream
OH, Well, he left his nagging wife now
He slept for twenty years
Didn't bother to wake up
He grew a long white beard
This is how the story goes
Listen my children and you will hear
He fell asleep in the woods one day
Spent twenty years of his life that way
hee, hee, hee, hee, hee
Sleep, sleep, sleep
That nagging wife kept all of his coin
None of his friends did he ever join
Rip Van Winkle, Rip Van Winkle, doo,doo,doo,doo,da-doo
Rip Van Winkle, Rip Van Winkle. sleep, sleep, sleep
Rip Van Winkle, Rip Van Winkle sleeping his life away
Rip Van Winkle, Rip Van Winkle sleeping his life away
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz(snoring)
rolling ball, pins falling, "wow-wee!"

Will You Be Staying After Sunday
An addition to lyrics on a website. at matrix.com
I sure would like to know the other unintelligible line!
Will you be staying after Sunday or go home on Monday
Will you be staying after Sunday or go home
Your lips are warm on Friday night
The next two days you hold me tight
But when it's done, you always run, and I'm alone
Will you be staying after Sunday or go home on Monday
I'll be waiting for that one day you'll be mine
I'd give the world to keep you here
Why do you need to disappear
And when I (??-rest of line unclear)
I wouldn't try to own your soul
You can be free
I only want you here each night
Loving me
Will you be staying after sunday or go home on Monday
We gotta let this feeling grow or let it end
You say you care well if you do
Don't ever go I'm begging you
Don't let lonely Monday come again
Will you be staying after Sunday or go home on Monday
Will you be staying after Sunday or go home on Monday
Will you be staying after Sunday or go home on Monday (fades out)

Here's another version from Roger in Colorado :
Tom:
I saw your page for the lyrics for “Will you be Staying After Sunday,” a 1969 song by Peppermint Rainbow. You have a few question marks where you don’t understand what they sing. Here are the lyrics, and you can also see them singing the song here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HoCgtBLars&feature=related

Will you be staying after Sunday?
Don't let a lonely Monday come again.
Will you be staying after Sunday or go home on Monday?
Will you be staying after Sunday or go home?
Your lips are warm on Friday night
The next two days you hold me tight.
But when it's done, you always run, and I'm alone.
Will you be staying after Sunday or go home on Monday?
I'll keep waiting for that one day you'll be mine.
I'd give the world to keep you here
Why do you need to disappear?
And when I press you do your best to stall for time.
I wouldn't try to own your soul
You can be free.
I only want you here each night loving me.
Will you be staying after Sunday or go home on Monday?
We gotta let this feeling grow or let it end.
You say you care well if you do
Don't ever go I'm begging you.
Don't let a lonely Monday come again
Will you be staying after Sunday or go home on Monday?
Will you be staying after Sunday or go home on Monday?
Will you be staying after Sunday or go home on Monday?
Will you be staying after Sunday or go home on Monday?
Will you be staying after Sunday or go home on Monday? (fade out)

I'm not sure how to go about submitting revisions to the lyrics, but I
noticed that you were the original contributor. I thought I'd help with
what little I can figure out.
The second line should be "Posting a poster of Poncho and Cisco one
California day..." and refers to Poncho Villa and the Cisco Kid.
Not sure about this one, but I think the first two lines of the second
verse should be: "Strip off your pride your acting like a teeny-bopper
run away child... And strip off the paint from the face of a little
town saint..."
Like you, I stil can't figure out the lines in the final verse.

Mind Excursion
The opening two lines are:
Sit your self down
And think of what you’d like to do today
I hope this helps

Sit yourself down
------------------------------ and think of what you'd like to do today
Then take a look around
And if the sky kind of looks a little grey
Just take a look out a dream just take a hook on a dream
Watch your cares will stop running
Your smile won't stop coming when you
Take a mind excursion
It's just a slight diversion
You can come out a winner
In a bullfight in Spain
(Take some face like dimension (??) Paint your face like an injun
Dance with some rain
Get on your magic carpet
Cause nothing can stop it
No--
Open up your eyes
Excitement would like to be your friend
Try it on for size
It may lead you to the rainbow's end
You got a ticket to fly
And while the sun's getting brighter
Your head's getting lighter when you
Take a mind excursion
It's just a slight diversion
You may drive out your window
In your own private car
Watch the whole world go rolling
>From the top of a star
Get on your magic carpet
Cause nothing can stop it
Oh--
Take a mind excursion
It's just a slight diversion
You can
Take a mind excursion
It's just a slight diversion (fadeout)

Also
Sit yourself down,
And think of what you'd like to do today
Then take a look around,
And if the sky kind of looks a little gray
Just take the hook on a dream
Throw on your Keds, start runnin'
Your smile won't stop comin' when you
Take a mind excursion, it's
Just a slight diversion
You may come out a winner
In a bullfight in Spain,
Paint your face like an Injun,
Dance for some rain
Get on your magic carpet
'Cause nothing can stop it ......
The remainder of lyrics seem to be correct, from my memory. Hope this is helpful.

Baby Let's Wait
That's pretty good ... closer than I ever got! Smile. My vinyl copy of the song is no
longer fit to play, which grieves me, but here's what I've always heard right before the
Royals segue into the chorus for the seond time: "Victims of poverty". Wonder what you
think of that ... Seriously, thanks for allowing me to sing along with this wonderful,
underrated tune and not be wildly off base!
Sincerely,

I took what I saw posted on the Internet and corrected it. I'm pretty sure this is correct.

You say you'll always be proud of me.
Well, I'm gonna see that you do, baby.
I'll be nobody, nothin',
If I do would you want me to, yeah.
Millions now struggle by anyway, anyhow.
Living in misery, is that how you want it to be?
No, baby let's wait.
No, baby let's wait.
We've got time.
You said you'd always be needin' me.
Well, I'm gonna see that you do, baby.
I'll be somebody, something,
If you wait, baby, I promise you, yeah.
Cause I got my pride.
Our kid's gonna hold his head up high.
Nothin' like you and me.
Victim of poverty!
No, baby let's wait
No, baby let's wait
We've got time.
No, baby let's wait
No, baby let's wait
No, baby let's wait ...

I also recall someone emailed Ginger Bread line as not "Along comes your mother and we..."
but "How long does your mother think we'll wait...", but I don't know who.
Here is "Don't Think Twice" from Mike Levand.
Correct Version: When the Rooster crows at the break of dawn
Look out your window babe and I'll be gone
Your version: And the rooster crows at the break of dawn
Flap your wings and baby I'll be gone
CV: It ain't no use in turnin' on your lights babe
The light I never knowed
No, it ain't no uses in turnin' on your lights babe
I'm on the dark side of the road
YV: Ain't no use in telling all your lies babe,
The like I've never known
Ain't no use in telling all your lies babe
-unintelligible-
CV: But goodbye's too good a word to say girl
So I'll just say 'fare thee well'
YV: But good-bye is too good a word to say girl
So let's just say...........unintelliglble.......
